a delegation of representatives from shenzhen enterprises is visiting singapore, engaging in discussions and exchanges with various sectors in the island country in a bid to jointly explore development opportunities and further promote communication and cooperation between the two sides.
the delegation is on a four-day visit that will end tomorrow, taking part in the “shenzhen stories” brands going global initiative that was launched sept. 26. the initiative is guided by the publicity department of the shenzhen municipal committee of the cpc, and organized by shenzhen media group.
the “shenzhen stories” brands going global initiative is an important part of the “shenzhen stories” initiative for global city civilizations exchange, which made its overseas debut in singapore on sept. 26.

the delegation to singapore is composed of over 10 shenzhen enterprises, including internationally renowned companies and startups in the rapid growth period. during the delegation’s stay in singapore, they visited chambers of commerce, well-known enterprises, as well as subsidiaries of shenzhen enterprises operating in the city state.
one of the delegation’s stops is huawei’s singapore headquarters. as a representative of shenzhen enterprises with global presence, huawei has been in singapore for over 20 years and has collaborated closely with local enterprises to jointly build world-class network infrastructure.
according to jing sida, public relations manager of huawei’s corporate communications department, huawei has been active in singapore for many years and is willing to share some of its development experiences for mutual and better growth.
lu di, senior manager of public affairs at shenzhen qianhai hand-painted technology and culture co. ltd., said that the discussions and exchanges have not only provided insights into the business methods of overseas enterprises, but also deepened participating enterprises' understanding of the evolving landscape in singapore.
“our company has established a subsidiary in singapore and our future plan is to expand our presence in southeast asia,” lu said.
“nanyang technological university (ntu) is especially strong in the fields of biomedicine and engineering., i think there are a lot of cooperation opportunities between us,” pan junfeng, chief technical officer and co-founder of readine, a shenzhen firm focusing on biosynthetic technology, said after visiting ntu today.
pan added that the entire trip, focusing on mutual learning and exchanges, has been an eye-opener for him.
